Board of Directors

Anand Rao is the founder of Chaitanya. Anand has a MA in International Relations from Syracuse University, USA, a Management Degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. He comes to Chaitanya, spending the past five years working at Small Scale Sustainable Infrastructure Development Fund (S³IDF), an international non profit organization working in supporting enterprises in the small scale infrastructure space. His earlier work experience has been in International Development at World Resources Institute, Washington DC and earlier in the Indian Corporate Sector at Pepsico India and Bosch India.

Samit Shetty is the co-founder of Chaitanya. Samit has a Management Degree from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. Samit has spent his last nine years working for Olam, a global leader in the supply chain management of agricultural products and food ingredients. Samit spent his initial five years in Africa and honed his skills in the complex operational environment there.  Subsequently he setup Olam’s coffee operations in Brasil and led the business for four years.  He has acquired significant experience in setting up systems related to procurement, trading, finances, supply chain etc.

 

K S Ravi is an independent director.  Mr. Ravi is Charted Accountant by profession being the Managing Partner of M/s Ravi & Shirihari. He is actively involved in rural development work consulting and advising several NGOs across India. He is also a visiting faculty of Regional Training Institutes of AG’s Office, Bangalore, Member Audit Board, Bangalore, Income Tax Department, Bangalore, Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd., Bangalore. He is also an expert with respect to statuary requirements.  

A Narasimha is an independent director. Mr. Narasimha is a banker by profession. He has extensive work experience having worked in Indian Overseas Bank, Vijay Bank and Andhra Bank. He retired as General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer from Andhra Bank. In his illustrious banking career, he has worked on agricultural advances, retail lending and lending to small businesses.

Regional Managers

Jeyaseelan L

Jeyaseelan Lis the Unit Manager of the Jagalur unit at Chaitanya. He has an MPhil in Sociology from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai ,Tamil Nadu, and a Post Graduate in Social Work from Madurai Kamaraj University . Earlier to joining Chaitanya, he was a Project Manager at Sampark, an NGO. He has 16 years of work experience in the NGO sector. Jeyaseelan is 38 years old.   

Uppu Markandeyulu

Uppu Markandeyulu is a Unit Manager of Koppal Unit at Chaitanya. He has a B. Sc. from Nagarjuna University. He comes with four and a half years of work experience from Spandana microfinance. In Spandana he has worked as a loan officer, as a branch manager, regional manager and as divisional manager. Markandeyulu is 26 years old.  

Shreepad Mohan Vaze

Shreepad Mohan Vaze is a Unit Manager at Chaitanya. He has a B. Com. from Karnataka University ,Dharwad. He has over 10 years of work experience in the educational field and 6 years of work experience in community mobilization. He has worked at Azim Premji Foundation for 6 years and at Deshpande Foundation as Program Officer and Admin Director for 2 years, before joining Chaitanya. Shreepad is 38 years old.

 

Vasudeva Shagrithaya Balaya

Financial Controller

Mr. Vasudeva is a Charted Accountant and comes to Chaitanya with over 25 years of work experience in both India and outside India . He has over ten years work experience as a Financial Controller in the pharmaceuticals and textile sectors in Africa.
